Simple to Prepare

Serves: 4

Step 1 Prep rice
Wash and soak 1 kg biryani rice for 20 minutes, then drain

Step 2 Sauté base
Heat 200 ml oil and 50 ml ghee in a pressure cooker
Add 400 g sliced onions and sauté until golden brown
Add 250 g tomatoes and cook until soft
Add 4 tablespoons ginger garlic paste and sauté for 5 minutes
Add a handful of mint and coriander leaves

Step 3 Add spices
Add 3 green chilies
Optionally add ½ tablespoon chili powder
Add 50 ml yogurt
Add 2 tablespoons FreshWise Biryani Masala
Mix well

Step 4 Add protein or vegetables
Add 1.1 kg protein or vegetables with salt to taste
Cook for 8 to 10 minutes on medium heat

Note
For goat and beef, pressure cook separately with water until tender and adjust water in next step

Step 5 Final cook
For every 1 cup rice, add 1.5 cups water
Adjust water if already added earlier
Add soaked rice and mix gently
Pressure cook on low to medium flame for about 20 minutes
